AARP Visit to Singapore
Wednesday Sep 18,2019
On the 18th of September, a group of delegates from AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Persons) came to learn about the best practices and innovations that Singapore has in addressing a rapidly aging population.
AARP is the world’s largest non-profit, nonpartisan membership organization that is focused on empowering people to choose how they live as they age.
During the visit, SMU-TCS iCity Lab, together with partners from TCS and GoodLife! Makan shared on the smart home technology that is driving SHINESeniors project. The team also visited a resident whose home is installed with the smart home monitoring system.
Look forward to this visit being featured in AARP’s The Journal 2020 – a special feature on Singapore.
